Ethnobotany of the Gitksan Indians of British Columbia; The present work is an edited version of an unpublished manuscript prepared by Harlan I. Smith during the years from 1925 to 1927 while Smith was an employee of the National Museum of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario. Smith's original document has remained unpublished for nearly 70 years and is now among the collections held by the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Hull, Quebec.
