A bit about me:
I was born in a small town in Sweden. Besides rifle shooting, I enjoy hunting and outdoor activities. I am also a nerd who likes to read!
Why did you choose to attend UAF?
I was recruited by the UAF rifle team, and that is how I came to Alaska!
What do you like best about UAF?
I really like that many of the professors are very friendly and willing to give extra help if necessary, and that you always meet people on campus that you know in one way or another.
What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?
I'm doing rifle shooting on a competitive level. I also like running and working out. Reading and writing are other interests of mine.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?
What I try to do is to stop asking questions like, "Why should I do that?" and instead rephrasing it to "Why shouldn't I do that?" Alaska has a lot to offer, and so does UAF, so why not try it? The winters aren't as cold as everyone makes it sound!
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
I am not sure what I will do after graduation. I hope to either work with import/export within the Swedish logging industry, or maybe as a foreign correspondent for a news company.
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?
I have lived all my life on the northern hemisphere, so maybe I should try the southern?
