Why did you choose to attend UAF?

I chose UAF because it had all the programs I wanted in a college, and it sounded like a fun place to go.

What do you like best about UAF?

It is so easy to get outside and have fun, with a variety of activities.

What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?

Go on North Campus trail walks with friends, climbing at the rock wall and hang out at Outdoor Adventures.

I'm involved with Student Ambassadors, UAF Street Crew, Outdoor Adventures, and I'm currently a student employee.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?

Look into what each class is about and plan a tentative four-year schedule.

What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?

I spend time in the field for work as a guide. Many labs in my major involve getting outside to observe and collect data. I worked at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portage, Alaska, where I was able to work closely with a variety of Alaska wildlife.

What do you hope to do after you graduate?

Get my pilot’s license, and go to grad school.
