Tell us a bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in Barrow, Alaska. I’m Inupiaq Eskimo and part Navajo. Summer is my favorite season, and I love spending it at home!
Why did you choose to attend UAF?
I chose UAF mainly because it was close to home. When I toured the campus during my senior year of
high school, my tour guide (who was a student ambassador) really tied me in, and I like how close together the campus is.
What do you like best about UAF?
My favorite thing about UAF is the diversity – people, cultures, classes, clubs and organizations. There is so much to do and things to be a part of!
What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love driving, car rides and road trips! I also enjoy going to the movies, shopping, volunteering and engaging in cultural activities as much as I can.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?
Be engaged in activities. Get involved with things that you’re interested in because it can lead to so many opportunities!
What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?
I’m undeclared on a major, and I haven’t done any field work, but I have taken a few classes of different majors to help minimize my choices.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
I plan on returning to my hometown to work within the community. Traveling is a must, too!
