A bit about me:

I'm a music major, studying voice and tuba. I work part time with Parking Services on campus. I'm still adjusting to the cold climate, but Alaska is a great place to be!

Why did you choose to attend UAF?

I came to Alaska in 2008 for the first time to participate in the UAF Summer Music Academy. From doing that, I met many of the music professors and got acquainted with the program.

What do you like best about UAF?

I love the services provided to students. The math lab, English lab and speech lab are very good resources!

What do you like to do in your spare time? What extracurricular activities are you a part of?

As a music major, you dont really have spare time. You have practice time. When I'm not doing that, I work with Circle K UAF on community service.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in UAF?

Start with Financial Aid early! You never know when there will be another form to fill out.

What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?

I perform in many ensembles. I am currently working with Opera Fairbanks.

What do you hope to do after you graduate?

I hope to become a high school band director so that I can help students choose what they want to do with music after high school!

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be?

Seattle, WA
