What do you like to do in your spare time?
Relax, hang out with my friends, watch Grey’s Anatomy and cook.
Why did you choose to attend UAF?
It is close enough to home that I could drive, but far enough it wasn't like I was still at home.
What do you like best about UAF?
The small class sizes are awesome.
What extracurricular activities are you a part of?
Orientation,
peer advising,
intramural soccer, student ambassadors and at one point I was a peer mentor.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in your majors at UAF?
You are able to choose your own electives, so choose ones that apply to your goals and interests.
What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?
At a UAF career fair, I happened to stop by the Flint Hills Resources recruitment booth. It was there that I found out they offered an amazing internship in HR. It turned out to be a perfect fit for me and I am enjoying every minute of this opportunity.
I have also had the chance to become the lead student ambassador. This
opportunity will hopefully help me to gain more experience in the human
relations field, since it has so much to do with helping people.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
I want to go into Human Resources. Specifically I want to find a career in the employee relations end of Human Resources.
