Why did you choose to attend UAF?
When my family was stationed at Eielson AFB I fell in love with the state, and I couldn't think of a better place to study Wildlife Biology.
What do you like best about UAF?
The Community! Everyone understands and respects the awesome life we live here in Fairbanks, and that helps build a strong, supportive community.
What extracurricular activities are you a part of?
I love my job in
Outdoor Adventures, and I'm a member of the UAF student chapter of the Wildlife Society.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a prospective student interested in wildlife biology at UAF?
Get involved and meet our awesome professors! They are world class, and can really get you ahead in your field. Talk to them, join student organizations, and get out there and have fun!
What "field work" have you done at UAF that will help you find work in your major?
I was fortunate enough to get an awesome internship which gave me great experience. A lot of our classes go out in the field, and that's the coolest.
What do you hope to do after you graduate?
I hope to combine my passion for wildlife, the outdoors and leadership into a new outdoor environmental education program.
