Academic Advising Center

The Academic Advising Center provides advising for general studies, pre-majors, AHEAD and non-degree seeking students. We typically assist General Studies and pre-major students with registration, adding or dropping classes, creating a four-year plan, exploring possible majors and discussing academic difficulties.

If you have not applied to UAF, apply now or contact the Admissions Office before scheduling an advising appointment.

Please contact your school/college directly to make an advising appointment. Academic departments can give you the most up-to-date information about your degree requirements.

Student Athlete
Student athletes can visit the Athletic Academic Advising page for information related to athletics, academics, and advising.

First generation college students
Are you a first generation college student with limited income and/or a student with a disability?  Contact UAF Student Support Services to find our the benefits of this program and if you are eligible.

First-year students living in the residence halls
Guiding you through your first year at UAF, the EDGE Program is a residential-based living-learning program designed to enhance the overall student experience by foster a close-knit community.

If you are Alaska Native or from a rural community
Rural Student Services provides a vital link between rural communities and the university and a comprehensive approach for students who expend positive effort in their pursuit of higher education.

Fall 2017 course offerings are available on UAOnline. Registration for Fall 2017 begins Monday, April 3, 2017 for degree-seeking students and April 10, 2017 for non-degree seeking students. Contact your advisor in your major to make an appointment!

Registration for UAF Summer Sessionsbegan on February 27, 2017. You can register through UAOnline, the Summer Sessions website, or in person at the Registrar's Office in Signers' Hall.
