Plane
Alaska Airlines links to major airlines though Seattle and offers service now to Boston, Denver, Miami, Newark, New York City and Washington, D.C. The Fairbanks International Airport, three miles from campus, offers rental cars, taxi and limousine service.

Train
The Alaska Railroad has service from Anchorage to the downtown Fairbanks railroad depot, located about four miles from campus. From the station, taxis and borough buses are available.

Automobile
Coming from Anchorage on the Parks Highway: Take the Geist Road exit and turn left onto Geist. Continue east on Geist for 1/2 mile to Thompson Dr. Turn left onto Thompson Drive, which ends at a traffic circle. Take the first right (Tanana Loop East).
Coming from Delta Junction on the Richardson Highway: Approximately 10 miles past North Pole, take the exit on the right labeled “Denali Park.” You are now on the Mitchell Expressway. After approximately three miles, take the Geist Road exit, and turn right onto Geist Road. Continue east on Geist for 1/2 mile to Thompson Drive. Turn left onto Thompson drive, which ends at a traffic circle. Take the first right (Tanana Loop East).

Parking on campus
Option A: Ride the Shuttle (no charge)
Free visitor parking is available in the lot marked 4F on the online campus map. (You can locate this lot in the online map by first clicking on the green zone and then finding square G7.) Regular shuttle service to the Admissions Office is available from the Nenana shuttle station (Lot 4D, next to the visitor parking lot). Be sure to catch a “Green Route” or “Gold Route” shuttle, but NOT a “Blue Route” shuttle.
The Office of Admissions is located in Signers’ Hall (found in the campus map in the purple zone, square F10).
Option B: Metered Parking
Metered visitor parking is available in two lots located close to Signers’ Hall. In the purple zone of the online campus map, these lots are shown in red in squares F10 and G10. These spaces have one- and two-hour time limits.
