BACCALAUREATE DEGREE
To be admitted into a baccalaureate degree program, you must:- have a cumulative university grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in your previous course work
- have left your previous institutions in good standing
- submit official university transcript(s). Note: If you are transferring to UAF from another UA campus, you do not need to request official transcripts.

To be admitted into a certificate or associate degree program, you must:
- Transcripts
All transcripts must have an official signature and stamp of the school or college issuing them. They must be mailed directly to the UAF Office of Admissions and the Registrar, or may be submitted by you in sealed envelopes from the issuing institution. We also accept electronic transcripts which should be sent directly by the issuing institution to admissions@uaf.edu.

Transfer Credit Details
Transfer credit is credit that has been earned from other accredited institutions, through military educational experiences or credit accepted by special approval is considered transfer credit. Where possible, transfer credit is equated with UAF courses. UAF is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) network. For additional information about the SOC program, contact the Office of Admissions and the Registrar.
UAF's transfer credit resource website is an unofficial reference for undergraduate students considering transferring to UAF. An official evaluation of transfer credits will be provided after you have formally applied and been admitted to a degree program at UAF. In the meantime, the transfer credit resource website can help you see how the course credits you bring with you may equate with specific course offerings at UAF.

Transferring to UAF from a non-UA university
Find out what courses you've already taken are equivalent to those in UAF's core curriculum.
Transferring to UAF from UAA or UAS
If you are planning to transfer to UAF from UAA or UAS, the general education requirements for your baccalaureate degree are transferable; the requirements you completed at one UA institution fulfill the same categories at all other UA institutions.
If you have completed your general education requirements at UAA or UAS, you have fulfilled all requirements of the UAF baccalaureate core. If you have taken some of the general education requirements at UAA or UAS, refer to the table of substitutions for intra-UA transfers or use the student transfer credit resource site to see what UA courses you've already taken meet the general requirements for your baccalaureate degree at UAF.
Western Undergraduate Exchange
The Western Undergraduate Exchange Program is designed to help undergraduates who live in western states pursue higher education at a public college or university outside their home state but within the Western region. WUE eligibility at UAF is reserved for incoming undergraduate students pursuing an approved certificate, associate or bachelor's degree program.
