Jump AHEAD of the rest!

The AHEAD program is for high school students who would like to enroll at UAF. High school students will receive academic advising, official admission into UAF with pre-major status and dual high school and university credit.

Goals and objectives:

AHEAD Program eligibility
Admission to the AHEAD Program is based on an evaluation of high school GPA and course work.  A minimum overall high school GPA of 3.0 and of 2.5 in the core is required. You must take the ACT or SAT test prior to enrolling in UAF classes. In addition, you must have completed 75 percent of the high school academic core curriculum required for admission. Once you have earned a high school diploma you may apply to change your status from pre-major to baccalaureate degree-seeking.

Tuition and fees for AHEAD students are based on the current tuition and fee rates at UAF and are your responsibility. The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District will not pay tuition costs, and state and federal aid is not available to AHEAD students.
