Exchange opportunities at UAF

Come to UAF, see the world
Elyse Yeager came to UAF from her hometown of Girdwood, Alaska, and found a surprise waiting for her: a school that was more than she expected. While pursuing a math degree at UAF, Elyse also studied as an exchange student at the University of Tübingen in Germany, where she was a violinist in the Dane Orchestra. We believe that diverse experiences open the doors to a truly stimulating education. As Elyse says, "I wasn't sure that I wanted to go to college here in my home state, but actually I'm really glad I did. I love the arts community in Fairbanks, the opportunities for studying abroad and the fact that a math major can be involved in so much more than math here."
