How many courses must I take each semester?
Graduate international students are required to enroll in and attend courses full time (9 credits) each semester.
Is Financial Aid available?
Financial aid is sometimes available to graduate students in the form of assistantships, which are awarded through academic departments on a competitive basis when the student is accepted to the program. Graduate students seeking teaching or research assistantships should contact their specific department directly.
What if my English isn’t perfect? Are there classes that can help improve my proficiency in English?
Yes! Developmental English courses are offered through the Department of Developmental Education. Course offerings are limited and vary from semester to semester, so be sure to make contact with the department prior to registering for classes. For more information about the courses and help with determining which courses will best fit your needs, contact Associate Professor Dana Greci at dgreci@alaska.edu.
