UAF Admissions: Inside Out preview days

Choosing a college is a big decision. We can make it easy.

Students and parents will have the opportunity to ask questions, get answers and experience life at UAF during UAF Inside Out, a preview event designed to let you see what the University of Alaska Fairbanks is all about--from the inside out. This overnight event for high school juniors and seniors will be held Friday, March 21. Parents and guests are welcome to attend during the day. We'll turn the university inside out so you can get the real story on financial aid, the admission process, classes and professors at UAF, extracurricular fun, and our outstanding academic programs.

Registration is over for this event. Schedule a visit if you missed the opportunity.

If you can't make it to UAF Inside Out, we encourage high school seniors to consider coming to UAF for an individual campus visit. We invite high school juniors to consider attending UAF Inside Out next fall or scheduling an individual campus visit.

9 a.m.	Check-In Registration and Breakfast (Great Hall) Come in from the outside and enjoy refreshments while checking in.
9:30 a.m.	Welcome (Davis Concert Hall) We'll kick things off with an overview of the weekend's events and hear from great speakers who'll share their excitement about UAF. Careful, it’s contagious…
10 a.m.	STUDENTS Opening Activity (Great Hall) Come get to know your mentor for the day along with fellow students, current UAF students and staff PARENTS Parent Questions and Answer Session (Wood Center E&F) Admissions. Financial Aid. Residence Life. Campus Safety. Parents: This is your opportunity to ask the tough questions
11:15 a.m.	Classes Come see for yourself what makes UAF classes and faculty top notch. Choose from three dynamics classes taught by some of UAF’s most exciting faculty members PARENTS' WORKSHOP I Financial Aid 101 (Wood Center E&F) Get personalized attention of how you can help your student pay for college at UAF
12 p.m.	Lunch (Lola Tilly Commons) Sample the food on campus at UAF’s main cafeteria. Choose from a full selection of lunch favorites and chat with current UAF students
1 p.m.	Major Mania (The Wood Center) UAF has many great academic degree programs to choose from. Come talk to representatives from each along with some of UAF’s exciting clubs and organizations
2:30 p.m.	Classes Come see for yourself what makes UAF classes and faculty top notch. Choose from three dynamics classes taught by some of UAF’s most exciting faculty members PARENTS' WORKSHOP II First Year Experience (Wood Center E&F) Find out what your student will experience during the first year at UAF and learn some great tips on helping him or her succeed!
3:30 p.m.	Tour Find out just how easy our campus is to navigate, and enjoy the sights of America's Arctic University. Don’t worry- we’ll stop for snacks along the way!
5:30 p.m.	Closing (Hess Recreation Center) Thanks for coming!
6 - 8 p.m.	Residence Life Open House (MBS Complex) Come see why living on campus is the place to be!
What does it cost? Nothing! You provide your own travel and we provide the rest. A complementary shuttle will be running from the Fairbanks International Airport to campus on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Accommodations On-campus accommodations for the nights of Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21 are available on a space-available basis for guests who register by March 1. The University of Alaska Fairbanks is happy to provide this benefit free of charge. Sorry, we cannot provide this benefit to unaccompanied minors.
