Admissions Counselor Territories: All Anchorage and Matsu Valley students (including UA Scholars) and out-of-state students in Eastern time zone. Ginny was born and raised in the same house in Rochester, New York until the age of 18. After high school graduation, she headed north all by herself to attend the University of Alaska Fairbanks. At UAF she found adventure, new friends, fun, a new found appreciation for the cold and herself. She graduated from UAF in 2005 with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Spanish. Shortly after graduation, she jumped aboard as a full-time staff member working in the New Student Orientation Office. Currently she lives about 8 miles from the university in a one-room cabin without running water with her Golden Retriever named Wrangler. She is an avid knitter and an all around crafty lady. Ginny loves to cook, hang out with friends, visit coffee shops, listen to live music, go for walks with her dog and of course knit. She's also taking classes towards a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling at UAF. You can request more information from Ginny, or feel free to e-mail her. |
