UAF offers master's and the doctor of philosophy degrees in a number of programs. The Office of the Graduate School provides information and assistance for prospective and current graduate students, including orientation, teaching assistant training and several scholarship and fellowship programs.
Admissions requirements
Review the current requirements for admission to UAF's graduate programs.
All graduate applicants are strongly encouraged to review the website for the program they are interested in, as some academic units have additional, department-specific requirements. Failure to address departmental requirements may delay the admission process. Links to departmental websites, faculty bios and contact information can be found at the Graduate School website. Make sure to review your department's requirements and the Graduate School's suggestions on what to do before you apply.
Research opportunities for graduate students
If it's about the North, chances are it's being studied right here. Current research spans many disciplines, much of it focusing on issues that affect Alaskans and their way of life. Graduate students can take advantage of the many research and fellowship opportunities available at UAF.
