Discover UAF

Choosing a college is a big decision. We can make it easy.

The Discover UAF open house series is an exciting opportunity to meet faculty, staff and students, tour campus, and get a glimpse into life here at UAF. These events are open to high school juniors and seniors. (Parents and guests are welcome to attend). Each open house serves a different purpose, so please take a moment to read through the descriptions below and find the visit option that works best for you.

Events are held from 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The event is free to all participants with free weekend parking in one of many parking lots on campus. Please visit www.uaf.edu/campusmap/ if you are not familiar with the UAF campus. For more information, contact an admissions counselor at 474-7500 or admissions@uaf.edu.

If you can't make it to Discover UAF, we encourage prospective students to consider coming to UAF for a campus visit or attending UAF Inside Out next spring.

Discover UAF: Inside Out - March 26

Inside OutThe Discover UAF: Inside Out program is our most comprehensive preview day. Students and parents will have the opportunity to ask questions, get answers and experience life at UAF during UAF Inside Out, a preview event designed to let you see what the University of Alaska Fairbanks is all about--from the inside out. We'll turn the university inside out so you can get the real story on financial aid, the admission process, classes and professors at UAF, extracurricular fun, and our outstanding academic programs.

Daily campus tours
Tours depart daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from the Office of Admissions. Tours generally last 1-1.5 hours and cover the lower and upper campus academic facilities, residence life and student life. Tours may be tailored to meet your interest. Bring walking shoes and weather appropriate attire.

Individual visits
Individual visits are available Monday through Friday, year-round, except during campus closures. If you would like to schedule an individual visit, please fill out the campus visit request form or contact Carrie Coxon.

Group visits (school, team or other organizations)
If you would like to bring a group of students to UAF for a campus tour and/or meeting with Admissions, please fill out the group campus visit request form.
