Curriculum Vita
Ross graduated from UAF in 2005 with a Masters in Northern Studies, where he studied the environmental history of oil and gas transportation systems in Alaska. He then spent a year in Hiroshima, Japan, where he taught English conversation classes for both children and adults. Ross returned to Fairbanks in 2006 and worked as a science writer for the Arctic Research Consortium of the United States. Lured Outside once again in 2008, he served as Climate Change Advisor for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation in Washington, DC. Ross joined ACEP in April 2009 as Rural Energy Specialist, a joint position with the Tanana Chiefs Conference, where he coordinates the development of small-scale alternative and renewable energy systems for Interior villages.
