Markus moved to Alaska in 2006, shortly after graduating from Dresden University of Technology, Germany with a master’s in business information technology. In spring of 2008 he finished his master’s at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) in resource and applied economics. Markus worked on renewable energy projects for Chena Hot Springs Resort and did a study on the economics of greenhouse production in Alaska, using the greenhouse at Chena Hot Springs Resort as a model. Markus also has extensive knowledge in banking and finance as well as online & offline media and advertisement. He loves the North and the outdoors and is employed as energy analyst at ACEP.
