Curriculum Vita
Jill Maynard has a BS in Natural Resources from Oregon State University and she graduated with a MS in Natural Resources from the Resilience & Adaptation program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2010. Jill moved to Alaska in 2002 as a VISTA volunteer working with the Association of Village Council Presidents, the regional native non-profit organization in Bethel. She stayed on working for AVCP and lived in Bethel for 5 years working with village-level environmental planning and the National Environmental Policy Act before moving to Fairbanks in 2007 to pursue graduate studies. Her thesis work focused on factors that influence wind energy development in rural Alaska. Jill has worked at ACEP since 2009. She initially worked as a research technician co-facilitating the development of the Interior Regional Energy Plan. She has worked with the Alaska Wind for Schools program since 2010 and loves working in the field of energy and education.
