Background and Research Interests
Professor Witmer was a research professor in association with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Arctic Energy Development Technology Laboratory. The Arctic Energy Technology Development Laboratory's (AETDL) mission is to promote Research, Development and Deployment (RD&D) of energy technologies in Arctic regions by bringing together resources from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) and Alaska's energy industry.
Curriculum Vita
Dr. Witmer joined the UAF Mechanical Engineering Department in 1994. He is currently a senior analyst at Energy Efficency Evaluations. Dr. Witmer was the director of the University of Alaska Fairbank's Arctic Energy Technology Development Laboratory. Dr. Witmer previously was a research professor with the UAF Energy Center. Prior to that, he received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. In 1980 he received a B. S. from Millersville University.
