Amy Rath is currently completing a MS at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Natural Resource Management and Geography, with a strong emphasis on marine environments and education. With a BS in Geography, a minor in Geology, and a concentration in Biological Sciences, her diverse resource background, both academic and through field experiences in the natural sciences, provides a foundation for understanding and interpreting research of our energy resources .
As Education Specialist for the Alaska Center for Energy and Power, she plays a key role on ACEP’s outreach team to disseminate information to the public and to educate Alaska’s youth, with a goal to inspire our future work force, leaders, decision makers and community members.
Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Amy’s passion for the natural environment brought her to Alaska where she has enjoyed the rewards of life in Alaska for the past decade.
