Curriculum Vita

Amanda moved to Alaska in 2002 after graduating from the University of New England with a degree in Natural Resource Management. Amanda worked with the Institute of Marine Science at UAF on the GLOBEC project, spending countless months at sea collecting zooplankton, and subsequently enumerating and identifying the species as work towards a masters degree in marine biology. She also worked as the managing editor for Mushing Magazine for three years. Starting at the Alaska Center for Energy and Power in November 2008, Amanda completed the design and layout of the Alaska Energy Plan which was released in January 2009. Amanda is a competitive sprint musher in the winter and is a recreational cyclist in the summer.
