The ITS program teaches students how to use, support, implement, and troubleshoot computer and information technology systems. The ITS certificate program teaches students the essential skills required to effectively use and troubleshoot computers and computer applications. The ITS A.A.S. program is designed prepare individuals to implement, support, and troubleshoot computer and information technology systems.

Certificate students can develop an emphasis in Computer Applications; Web Technologies; Desktop Publishing & Graphics; and Technical Support Assistant.

A.A.S. students will have the opportunity to prepare for industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Network+; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) while completing degree requirements.

High School Diploma or GED.

Certificate students will complete a core course series intended to develop comprehensive skills in the use and configuration of PC operating systems, office applications and Internet technologies.

A.A.S. students will complete a core course series designed to develop comprehensive skills and knowledge in supporting, troubleshooting and configuring computer operating systems, hardware and software; and computer networks.

The ITS certificate only requires an additional 24-credtis beyond your primary degree; and the ITS A.A.S. can be earned by completing an additional 39-credits.

Nearly all jobs require individuals to possess computer skills and an understanding of information technology systems. Students completing either of these programs in addition to a primary area of study can expect to gain an advantage over those graduates who don't possess these skills. Individuals interested in working professionally as an IT specialist can find opportunities in computer support, network support, systems administration and Internet services.
